What locations do we cover?
We are located in Manchester, so our main location is for house removals in Manchester and the surrounding areas. We can also help you move to many worldwide destination with our Overseas Removals Service
We can cover the whole of the UK
We also travel throughout the whole of the UK. For customers who are not in the area, please still enquire as we work alongside many associated removal companies who will conduct your move on our behalf.
Don’t worry we will still manage your move from start to finish to ensure you are fully looked after during your national or International move.
How much will my house removal cost?
Every house move is different, based on your removals quote enquiry form we will either issue you with an initial estimate or we will call you to arrange a survey (which usually takes between 15 - 30 minutes). We promise to provide you with a written quote within 24 hours of either your enquiry or survey.
Do we offer a Packing Service?
When moving home there is so much for you to do. Sometimes not much time to do it. If packing is rushed it increases the risk of damage. If you pack your own boxes, then the contents are not fully insured during your move.
We provide different levels of House Packing Services, ranging from a Fragile Pack, all the way through to a Full Packing Service and Unpacking Service. We will discuss your Packing needs then work it into your move plan.
How much notice is required?
As much notice as possible, especially if you are moving house at the end of the month which is usually the busiest time for moving. In some cases we can work with short notice moves - just let us know your move date as soon as possible.
Do we have full removals insurance?
We have a Goods In Transit Insurance cover in place to protect your items up to £20,000 as standard (copies of the Policy and our Terms and Conditions can be requested for further inspection). However, conditions apply. To be fully insured then the movers have to pack your household effects. We also have £2,000,000.000 public liability cover.
What size house removal vehicles are available?
We can arrange house moves using vehicles ranging from 3.5t Luton vans for small moves all the way up to a road-train (usually for overseas moves). So no matter how BIG your move is we can help you move.
How much spaces is needed for the lorries to park?
Depending on what vehicle is required for your move then anywhere from 16ft up to 40ft. You will be notified of how many parking spaces are required. If space is not made available and the vehicle cannot park near to your home, additional charges may apply due to extended loading or unloading time.
Can we dismantle and rebuild furniture?
By prior arrangement the moving team can dismantle most types of furniture, rebuilding it at your new home - this is charged as a separate service. Please be aware some modern flat packed furniture is not built to be dismantled and rebuilt, sometimes when the furniture is dismantled it does not rebuild as solidly when first built. You will be informed if there is any risk to your furniture.
In the new house where do we place the furniture?
Upon arrival in the new home, you will need to advise the moving team where you would like your furniture placing. They will gladly place the furniture in your chosen rooms and position. Please mark all boxes with the appropriate rooms. If furniture has been dismantled then it will be rebuilt and placed where you want it. The moving team cannot fix any furniture to your walls.
Can we disconnect washing machines?
The movers are not insured to disconnect washing machines, or dishwashers. However, if you are struggling to loosen the connectors they can loosen them for you, but you will have to unscrew, then tighten up at the other end. They cannot be responsible for any leaks caused.
Do I have to defrost my freezer?
Depending on the type of move - if your move is local and to be completed the same day then it is not necessary to defrost the freezer (it is best to use cooler bags for your food). If your move is to be completed over a number of days or is going into storage then you MUST defrost the freezer. If this is not done, then the movers cannot accept any liability for any damage which may occur.
Do I need to empty my chest of drawers?
It is usually not necessary to empty the chest of drawers. If the drawers are too heavy to carry then the men will empty each drawer placing the empty unit in the vehicle and place the drawers back in the unit (this reduces the space in the back of the vehicle – and reduces your packing time).
Are we allowed to carry any flammable gases, paint or liquids?
Gas cylinders cannot be transported on the removal vehicles. Flammable liquids cannot be transported either, nor can paint as are an exclusion within the insurance policy. The removal men will gladly place these in your vehicle for you to take with you.
Are we permitted to move jewellery and valuables?
There is an exclusion within the policy to carry jewellery or valuables. Prior to packing your boxes please read what cannot be moved in our terms and conditions.
Do we provide a House Cleaning Service?
We can arrange for cleaners to either clean the house you are moving from or the property you are moving in to. Before a quote can be issued a survey will need to be done. This is only available for customers moving within Manchester.
What happens if my sale does not complete on the move day, can storage be arranged?
We can arrange furniture storage for all our customers, if you require access to the storage then we use a local self-storage company. If you do not require access, then we can arrange for containerised storage. This is a cheaper option for you per week. As the storage is in a warehouse, you will not have access to your items.
What are your payment methods?
The best method of payment is bank transfer (without fee). Payment is due 3 days in advance of the move. However, by arrangement payment can be paid on the day of the move - only if internet access is available.
We accept cheques which are required 5 days in advance of the move.
We accept all major credit cards, payment is processed via PayPal (there is a 3% charge for all card types - Inc. debit cards). All card payments are required 5 working days before the move. We cannot accept card payments on the day of the move.

What are Movingeverywhere's opening hours?
We conduct house moves 7 days per week. The office opening hours are as follows.
Monday - Friday: 9.00am - 7.00pm
Saturday: 10.00am - 12.00pm
Once you have booked your move, you will be given a mobile phone number to call if you require any help at any other times until 8pm in the evening, and over the weekend.
